Fall Line Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2006
The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from three vineyards. The nose offers up notes of vanilla bean, coconut, black currants, and blackberry liqueur. Layered and ripe, bordering on opulent, it nicely conceals enough tannin to carry the wine through another 4-5 years of evolution. Wine Advocate
Fall Line Winery is an artisanal producer of elegantly-styled wines. Specializing in blends of Bordeaux varietals, Fall Line crafts its wines using fruit from some of the most prized vineyard sites in Washington State.
On first opening the nose shows sour currant, brambles, soy with some slightly creamy scents lingering in the background. The palate is similar with a semi-tart and spicy finish. One day later the nose is reamy dark currant and light Asian spices with a palate of dark currant Asian spices and a dry cocoa finish.
