Located in the Texas Hill Country on the northwest shores of Lake Buchanan, Fall Creek Vineyards, once known only for French-American hybrid grape varieties, is now home to a wide range of <I>vinifera </I>varieties including Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Semillon, Johannisberg Riesling, Shiraz, Tempranillo, Viognier and Malbec. Breezes from the lake and sandy loam soil facilitate even ripening and flavor development in what otherwise might be considered unsuitable growing conditions.
