The climatic and pedologic characteristics of this territory are similar. The hills stretching from Montefi ascone to Orvieto are partly volcanic partly sedimentary in origin and both kinds of soil are particularly suited to the growing of vines as witnessed by the century-old tradition of the zone. In his book The foreign varietals cultivated in Italy S. Mondini affirms that as early as the 19th century several foreign varietals were cultivated in Lazio, some in quite remarkable proportions and specialized in the vineyards... Cabernet, Carignane, Gamay, Grenache, Merlot, Malbeck, Pinot, Sauvignon, Syrah... Lazio generally proves to be an area where the advantages from the cultivation of the foreign varietals are remarkable, especially for what concerns the ones coming from France.. In the countryside surrounding Rome, Frosinone and Viterbo it’s widely held that they contribute to the improvement of the local wine production. Read less

I was really not impressed with this wine - I drank a glass and the rest of the bottle sat in my fridge for weeks.

Straw-colored with greenish highlights. Intense fragrance is reminiscent of peaches and apricots. The wine is elegant on the palate, very rich and harmonious. Recommended with antipasto, fish and other seafood dishes.

This Italian white is so sublime its name translates as: "It is! It is! It is!" A blend of Trebbiano, Malvasia Bianca and Rossetto, the Est! Est! Est! is a fantastic alternative to Pinot Grigio. Simple and clean, with pear and melon aromas and flavors, medium body and a crisp finish. Lovely.

Light and simple, Est! Est! Est! is made from the Trebbiano and Malvasia Bianca grapes in the town of Montefiascone, north of Rome in Latium. This crisp, dry, refreshingly fruity white wine works with just about any dish you can think of.
