What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Reviews

Strong aftertaste of kalamata olives after a mineral-laden dry wash of blackberry and pepper. Not much scent or body to this. This has the bland affability of your typical "restaurant red", and is a good pairing with a plain, healthy dinner of beef, roast chicken, or lamb with vegetables, and a poor pairing with anything too sweet or spicy. I wouldn't call it bad, it just doesn't suit me at all. It's very no-nonsense, not fun to drink.
