Falasco Amarone della Valpolicella(2001)
Alcohol : 15%
A very concentrated wine made by carefully drying the grapes for at least 4 months before crushing them to make wine. This results in 40% or more of the grapes’ weight evaporating, lending a lot of flavor and character to the resulting wine. A blend of Corvina (70%), Rondinella (25%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), this Amarone aged in wood for more than 18 months before being fined and bottled. Like all of Falasco’s wines, a great value.

- A balanced and elegant Amarone with great concentration and a great price.
Deep ruby red color. Vibrant aromas of wild fruits, cocoa and smoke. A very full-flavored and concentrated wine with powerful fruit flavors. However, it is also balance and refined with a rich cherry finish. Well-balanced and elegant despite being more than 15% alcohol. Accompanies game, grilled meats, stews and matured cheeses. Let breathe an hour before serving. Will continue to develop over the next 5 to 7 years.
