Faiveley Meursault Charmes 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

"Pale yellow. Explosive, complex aromas of peach, clove, hazelnut, nut oil and flowers. A level up in perfume from the village samples and also bigger, riper and more tactile, though impressively primary. This very intense, broad wine saturates the palate with dusty minerality. These vines are located under the Clos des Perrieres, notes Hervet, who told me the yield here was a healthy 50 hectoliters per hectare. "Chardonnay is unbalanced at low yields," he maintained. A wonderfully long and dense Charmes...92-95" IWC 09/10
