Faiveley Mercurey 2016

Member Review by zufrieden:

The Faiveley Mercurey is dark and inviting with rich strawberry jam and floral notes. The mouthfeel is smooth, balanced and full of cherry, strawberry and raspberry flavours. Very good Mercurey with excellent depth and a medium to long finish. Lacks the elegance and finesse of the better Cru but excellent all the same; PN fans stock up. 89 points.

A beautiful ruby colour for this Mercurey. This wine releases aromas of fresh little red berries against smoky notes, mixed with fresh tobacco. The fruit is pure and elegant on the palate. There are the Morello cherries and raspberries already scented on the nose on the palate, mixed with a not very tannic structure and a certain liveliness. It's a well balanced wine which will seduce in tastings. Great value!! Domaine Faiveley Website

Domaine Faiveley is located in France, at the heart of Viticultural Burgundy, between Dijon and Beaune in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Since 1825, the Faiveley family has always cultivated the vineyards with the greatest respect for its terroirs in C te de Nuits, C te de Beaune and C te Chalonnaise.
