Rich, supple and ever changing notes and flavors. Faiveley burgundies never disappoint and this one is a great pinot for about $17. Check it out if you can find it.
Transparent red in the glass. Nice earthy nose that shows red fruit and a floral scent as well. Tasting reveals cherry and other red fruit flavors with a slight herbal note and more traces of earthiness. Delicate mouthfeel with a great overall balance and a nice tannic presence. Acidity is present but it does not become sour or overwhelming which is my complaint with some pinot noirs. Good length on the finish that leaves traces of fruit for a good minute or so. With a good quality to price ratio, I would recommend this wine for fans of Burgundy and pinot noir.
Drink now. Good value. Color shows tawny. Very nice with food. Lesser on its own.
