Fabre Montmayou Malbec Reserva 2007

Opaque purple-colored, it delivers an expressive perfume of pain grille, mineral, scorched earth, violets, and black cherry. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied with layers of savory dark fruit, ripe tannin, excellent balance, and an elegant personality... Paul Hobbs has just been signed on as a consultant.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
Initially very tight, needed about 2-3 hours to really open. Perhaps best after a nigt out in the decanter. Very substantial on the tongoue; velvety. Big, concentrated fruit flavors, jammy. Once opened, very rewarding and drinkable. Could be excellent in another 2-3 years.
