Fabre Mont Malbec Gran 2008
Ruby red color, leaning to very dark, intense red. Powerful but elegant flavors, with plumy and blackberry hints. A wonderful butterscotch and slight spicyness is totally integrated by the subtil notes of vainilla that comes from the oak aging. A full-bodied wine, with ripe tannins and voluptuous mid-palate and a long, very enjoyable, finish.
A blast of earth, minerals and leather greets you as the inky dark wine swirls in the glass. Entry is just as pleasant for those who prefer an earthier wine. Even some green pepper mid-palate adds to the enjoyment. Despite the quick finish, this can easily be enjoyed alone or with a spicy dish. Would be a great tapas caliente companion.

Im Gaumen angenehm weich, samtige Textur, erdige Süße, Irish Moos, noch sanft aufrauend, im Finale Rosinentöne, die Harmonie fehlt ein wenig.
86 Points - Jay Miller Wine Advocate The 2008 Malbec Classic Series is a fruity, forward expression of this increasingly popular grape. It has a degree of elegance, spicy, black cherry flavors, good balance, and a fruity finish. Drink it over the next three years.
