Excelsior Cabernet Sauvignon Robertson 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

87 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): (blended with 10% Petit Verdot): Bright medium red. Currant, plum and spices on the straightforward nose. Juicy, nicely delineated currant, cherry, menthol and spice flavors carry through a firm finish featuring dusty tannins. A bit clenched and medicinal but well made. Drink: 2016-2020. (Jun 2015)

Appearance: Blackish plum in color Aroma: Ripe blackcurrants a plummy fruit. Soft ripe tannins balance toasty oak aromas and sweet fruit flavors. Palate: Good structure with soft, clean finish.
