What to Expect

Cabenet Sauvignon: Originally of French origins, this versatile grape produces exceptional wines around the globe. It's usually medium to full bodied with a fine structure that supports black and red fruit flavors with typical notes of olive, chili and herbs that add complexity.

Editorial Reviews

Offers up pretty intense plum, smoke and cedar notes with subtle hints of powder sugar, backing spice, and anise. Smells a little cherry cola like. A bit on the sweet side with good acidity and minimal, soft tannins adding structure. Lots of cherry and red plum fruit on the mid-palate with a bit of baking spice emerging on the back end. Decent length and while this lacks finesse there is plenty of friendly fruit to enjoy. The alcohol is a touch obvious though. 2008-2010 86pts

Reviews

First taste was awful, but I warmed to it after. Its also a $10 wine, and actually decent for the price.

Its a little sweet for me, but its certainly packed with gobs of fruit. The finish is pure medicine and licorice, implying the fruit was overripe when picked, but again for its style and the price, its a good buy.

A very well behaved plum party. Finishes quick. Drinkable, especially for the price.

Rich rusty wheel with limestone on the nose. The mouth feels subdued, but very hot, with a touch of rosemary. This wine would go well with lamb.

Appearance: Blackish plum in color Aroma: Ripe blackcurrents and plummy fruit with toasty oak aromas balanced by soft, ripe tannins Palate: Good structure with soft, clean finish Food suggestions: Hearty meat dishes, stews, steak

Darkly colored, giving aromas of ripe plums and blackberries. Intensely flavored with sweet fruit - plums, blackberries, black currants, and a bit of spice.
