Evodia Calatayud Garnacha 2010
Bright ruby. Raspberry and cherry on the intensely fragrant nose, with a smoky quality adding complexity. Fleshy, round red berry and spice flavors show impressive clarity and energy, especially for the price. Silky tannins add shape to the long, spicy, appealingly sweet finish. This is a great value.
My Rating 88: Very nice fruity body with hints of complexity. Nose is long and fresh, well balanced. At Costco now only $ 6.99. A Bargain!!
Sweet and fruity, full-flavored and has an easy hand with the sulfites. No nasty notes. Very drinkable, and worth the bargain price.

Altovinum s 2010 Evodia is 100% Garnacha sourced from the highest elevation vineyards of Garnacha of any DO in Spain. It offers up a slightly exotic nose of earthy minerality, mocha, black cherry, and black raspberry.
The Evodia Garnacha is a shining star in the under $10 red category! A joint project among famed importer Eric Solomon, Jean Marc Lafage and Yolanda Diaz, designed to compete with the ever-popular Las Rocas. Great fruit and low acidity mdash; the perfect red to serve with white fish. Lush black fruit and subtle spices mdash; this wine practically melts in your mouth. Drink this all year round! Serve with a slight chill all summer long with fish and vegetable dishes, during the fall with turkey, during the winter with stews and in the spring with ham.
There are 20,000 cases of the 2009 Evodia, a 100% tank-aged Garnacha produced from old vines. Dark ruby-colored, it gives up an expressive nose of fragrant cherry blossom and cassis. Racy on the palate with plenty of juicy fruit, this is a surprisingly substantial, pleasure-bent effort that sells for a song. Drink it over the next 2ndash;3 years.

Mittellanger Abgang.
Bright ruby. Fresh strawberry and raspberry aromas are deepened by notes of licorice, black tea and pungent herbs. Supple in texture, offering sweet red fruit flavors and showing no rough edges. A smoky note comes up with air, adding complexity to a nicely persistent, red berry-dominated finish. Extremely easy to drink, and offering excellent depth and clarity for the money.
Floral and fresh smelling, with rosy notes, blueberry and nary any funk, leather or earth. Vibrant and juicy in the mouth, with boysenberry and plum flavors that set up a fruity, clean finish. Brighter, smoother and easier going than the 2009.
