Brilliant red garnet color with dark cherry fruit, spiced tea and fall leaves on the initial nose. With time you begin to pick up smoked meats and bit of barnyard that really add to this wines pure, earthy profile. Raspberry fruit on the palette that turns to cinnamon and cherry on the medium-long finish. Brisk acidity that carries it's full body well and makes for a great Pinot to accompany grilled or roasted poultry.

Evesham's seamless, silky Les Puits Sec shows notes of spice cake and vanilla frosting, oozing with ripe blackberries. There is a subtle, engaging earthiness here and I believe Russ Raney makes the most Burgundian style Pinot Noir in Oregon. I admit that Russ can do no wrong in my book.
