Evening Land Oregon Pinot Noir 2008

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

Evening Lands’ Pinot Noirs begin with the 2008 Pinot Noir Oregon cuvée. It is a multi-regional blend aged for 12 months in 20% new oak. Medium ruby red, it offers up expressive spice notes, earthy underbrush, cedar, and assorted black fruits. This leads to a medium-bodied wine with ample savory fruit, good acidity, and a bit of structure. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 3–4 years. In the scheme of things, it is a very good value.

Mostly from Seven Springs vineyard, this pinot is rich and plump. It has a plummy scent and a woodsy flavor to accompany broad, black cherry flavors. The char on the finish would pair nicely with grilled chicken.
