From humble beginnings Evans & Tate has gone on to make some of Australia's most popular and respected wines. The unique soil and location of Margaret River helps to deliver wines of elegance, finesse and power; the Evans & Tate style is at the forefront of the Australian revolution in making modern wines fit for the modern palate. Very pale straw with a youthful green rim. A pure expression of Chardonnay from Margaret River. Lifted stone fruit aromas drives the nose of the wine with delicate savoury aromas of malt, shortbread, and oyster shell from wild fermentation and maturation on yeast lees in French oak barrels. A benchmark Chardonnay from Margaret River. Tight citrus / lime flavours with honeydew and fresh peach driving through the palate. Delicate savoury characters of dried herbs, fresh toast and malt from wild barrel fermentation on solids adds intriguing flavour and textural complexity. Will cellar 10 years+.
