What to Expect

Nebbiolo is a fickle grape famed as much for its pale appearance as for its tannic character and produces some of the most perfumed and richly flavored wines. Though generally only medium-bodied, the wines possess rose and anise scented aromatics and deep flavors of cherry, orange peel and subtle green herb tones.

AWE blind tasting - sour nose, stinky nose, fleshy nose, very nice nettle notes in the background, really penetrating and pure with a note of heavily used and sweaty work glove, spice, earth fennel and tea, fine balance in the mouth, ripe sour cherry, lovely backing notes of dried herb, citrus tones, real energy here without being noticeably acidic, elegant, real harmony in the mouth, fresh zesty finish, with ripe tannins, a bit short but still a very strong showing 91-92
