Winemaker's Notes:

The Etude winemaking team--Tony Soter, Jon Priest and Franci Ashton--follow a minimal interventionist approach in crafting their Carneros Pinot Noir, which is produced from fruit harvested from the rocky volcanic soils of Etude's estate vineyards in the northwest corner of Carneros. It reveals a dark plum/ruby color, sweet forest floor, pomegranate, plum, and cherry notes, medium to full body, superb integration of wood, acidity, and tannin, and an attractive, complex finish. Already drinking well, this wine should continue to improve for another 5-7 years.

The Carneros Pinot Noir from Etude shows a deft balance between elegant fruit structure and muscular structure, and is a classic representation of this varietal from California's North Coast.
