Editorial Reviews for Ettore Germano Barolo
AWE blind tasting - diesel, kind of nasty to smell, chemical, clay, big and rich, but hollow, nice tannins, a bit chewy, uninteresting but with building fruit, extracted feeling extracted tannins, 83-84
The 2005 Barolo Cerretta is dark and brooding in its smoke, tar, truffles, black cherries and grilled herbs. This authoritative Barolo possesses outstanding length and tons of personality. With a little more polish to the tannins it might very well merit a higher score. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025, WS 93; RP91
