This was the first Pugliny i ever had, so i may be a little biased, but having had many more, it think its a great representation of the area. Read more

A Chardonnay wine from Burgundy in France. 2008 Domaine Etienne Sauzet Puligny Montrachet 375ml
Representing an assemblage of fruit from seven diverse parcels and nearly as many separately-vinified lots, the Sauzet 2007 Puligny Montrachet offers a bitter-sweet aromatic melange of iris, ripe peach, and piquant peach kernel. Exhibiting the tensio... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Chardonnay wine from Burgundy in France. 2007 Domaine Etienne Sauzet Puligny Montrachet 375ml
The grapes for this wine are picked from 7 different parcelles which are vinified separately and then blended. Delicate clean aroma.....perky citrus acidity..There is some oak in there..but very awkward at the moment...maybe a long open would help...I expected more from this top grower in a top vintage..but maybe time will show it better.
($70) Peach and minerals on the nose. Offers attractive subtle sweetness, with a solid steely spine and a juicy quality. A bit more convincing on the back end than the Chassagne villages, but still with a faint hard edge. Stephen Tanzer. A Chardonnay wine from Burgundy in France. 2007 Domaine Etienne Sauzet Puligny Montrachet 750ml
Strong green apple and lime zest with a notable chalky minerality. Rounder on the palate with more tropical notes of banana and a touch of pineapple. Creamy on the finish with a nice cleansing acidity. Mike Supple. A Chardonnay wine from Burgundy in France. 2006 Domaine Etienne Sauzet Puligny Montrachet 750ml
Etienne Sauzet founded the domaine based in the village of Puligny-Montrachet in 1903 with 12 hectares. In 1974 his grand-daughter Jeannine married Grard Boudot and they took over completely in 1975. Since then the reputation of Sauzet has grown hugely. One of the handful of the very best in Puligny.
Aromas of apricot, nectarine and acacia flower. Fat, spicy, broad and rich, with fresh lemon and lime notes. Dense, dry and rich, with good supporting acidity. This has clarity and grip.
