A fruity, smooth red wine from the foothills of Mount Baudille that goes great with exotic flavors and summertime foods. Ethnik Rouge, like its white sibling introduced last month, is one of those bargains. Made from grapes grown on the hillsides above the picturesque town of Montpeyroux, Ethnik Rouge has great fruit flavors and concentration. An unusual blend of Merlot (50%) and Grenache (50%), this wine is vinified using the latest winemaking techniques (thermovinifcation) to create a wine with an abundance of red fruit flavors and velvety tannins. Very fruity, slightly sweet. Reminded me of Sangria - lots of strawberry and red fruit. I usually prefer less sweetness in my wines. As a side note, I enjoyed this wine more when it was very cold.
