Quite pungent on the nose with layers of floral, dried fruit, waxy spice, aniseed, violet and petrol aromas. Soft and delicate in the mouth with an early burst of meaty peach flavor followed by a round, soft and yet slightly juicy midpalate filled with creamy melon, mint, pea green and dried pear flavors that linger on the subtle if persistent finish. The finish actually becomes more pronounced with time, this wine just will not leave one's palate. Super intriguing wine. 90pts

This wine is entirely produced from the rare Greek grape variety of Malagousia. Further to skin contact, to enhance the extraction of aromas it is fermented in stainless steel tanks between 18-20 °C and then matured on lees for a few months gaining depth of flavour and floral aromas. It has a brilliant straw colour with greenish shades and an aroma of matured fruit such as pear, mango and citrus. On the palate, the rich flavours of lemon peel enhance the appealing mouthfeel, adding a well-balanced finish. Best served at 8-10 °C.Food pairing: a perfect match for Mediterranean dishes, seafood, poultry, light-sauced pasta dishes and fresh vegetable salads. - Winery

Expressive aroma, with exotic fruits together with pepper, orange, jasmine, herbs and lemon. This state of the art winery is surrounded by 55 hectares of meticulously well cared vineyards on the slopes of Epanomi. It is the brainchild of Vangelis Gerovassiliou who inititated the revival of the family vineyard by planting the nearly extinct Malagousia in 1981. Domaine Gerovassiliou guarantees consistent, high quality wines of international acclaim every year. The low yielding vineyards are cultivated in compliance with ecologically sustainable management practices. Grapes : Malagousia 100% Region : Greece / Macedonia / Epanomi PGI Maker : Evangelos Gerovassiliou (Greek Μαλαγουζιά) Notes : It has an expressive aroma, with alternative impressions that bring memories of exotic fruits together with pepper, orange, jasmine, herbs and lemon. ABV : 12.50% Suitable for vegetarians
