Estancia blends premium proprietor-grown grapes from their vineyards on Californiarsquo;s Central Coast for a deliciously complex and approachable Merlot. The estate in Montereyrsquo;s cooler-climate yields Merlot with concentration, deep color and structure while the vineyards in Paso Roblesrsquo; warmer climate contribute fruity berry characteristics and a full, supple mouthfeel.
Balances rich, complex flavors with fruitiness of cherries and plums. Spicy oak and a toasty character add depth while the silky tannins impart an elegant structure.
Fine balance and good concentration to the black currant, mocha, roasted herb and subtle leather flavors linger through a mildly tannic finish. Drink now through 2005.
