Esser Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon(2005)
Cedar, cherry/berry cobbler, bramble and sweet tobacco are framed by smoky oak notes in the wine’s inviting aromatics. Its medium-full body is packed with ripe red fruit character, underscored by clove spice, anise, and mocha notes; it owes its round texture to velvety tannins and excellent palate coverage. - The blend's predominant component of fruit from the Central Coast was harvested in excellent condition. To provide more softness and highlight the Central Coast fruit character, we blended a smooth, lush-tannin lot from the Monterey County. All fermentation was completed in stainless steel tanks. The lot from Monterey was aged for 6 months in American Oak. Tasting Notes: A delicious and velvety wine, soft and dry with rich flavors of black cherries, dark chocolate and raspberry. Delightful with hearty meat dishes, hamburgers, pasta, pizza and cheeses.
