Esca Syrah 2004

Member Review by Eric Guido:

At first whiff you think you're holding a fruit bomb in your glass. Comes across something like a raspberry fruit roll up with herbaceous notes and a hint of oak. However this wine glides across the palette with racy, crisp acidity. Cherry fruit is dominant with a lean spicy backbone. The finish is smooth and long with a bit of a medicinal aftertaste that is far from intrusive. Would buy again.

It’s not a stretch to say that everything in their lives revolves around food and wine. In their day jobs they are winemakers for a couple of Napa Valley’s most storied families - Mario for Trinchero, Anna for Pina. In their spare time they make wine for themselves, their friends and their family. So, welcome to their family and a line of wines they hope will entice you to enjoy the good life. Read less
