Barrel sample. Black cherry, great creaminess, nice acidity. Buy it while you can because its another extraordinary wine.
Best pinot noir of the entire tasting. Absolutely outstanding in every way. Meaty with luscious berries and lovely acidity. Loads of creamy blackberry fruit and spice give it complexity.
The 2004 vintage is a tremendous pinot noir from the Russian River. The wine is very concentrated with complex layer fruit ranging over Pinot Noir in the new world. The initial flavors are cherry, blueberry changing into blueberry jam, smoky and dark cherry mixed with cedar. The amount of oiak is just right for the concentration of the fruit in aromas and flavors. The wine is a tremndous value for the price point.
This is my all time favorite Pinot from Russian River. Deliciously smooth, berry flavors and just a hint of oak. A must try!

Eric Kent 06 Pinot NoirTasting Notes:Dark ruby in color with a bright raspberry nose and a hint of forest floor - did I actually write that? - sorry, but sometimes it's hard to find the proper words: an elusive combination of pine needles, faint eucalyptus, dry leaves, moist earth. . . I hope that's a smidge more helpful. All followed by fresh and lively strawberry, cola nut and touch of nutmeg on the palate with moderate tannins and good acidity to see them through to the lingering finish. Displays the expressive fruit reminiscent of our '04 Stiling combined with the elegance and greater restraint of the '05.
