Eric Forest Pouilly Fuisse Terre du Nord Chardonnay France Burgundy Maconnais Eric Forest France 2005

Member Review by WineborkDotCom:

Good, crisp Pouilly-Fuisse, but in the context of the vintage and appellation and producer, something of a disappointment. I actually strongly preferred the "lesser" Macon-Vergisson from Eric Forest to this wine, which is more than double the price. The flavors here are dominated by leesy, toasty, yeasty elements, though there is some nice candied citrus in the background. The high acid makes the wine crisp, but the acid level is borderline high to my taste. Good food wine, just lacks the fruit depth to be rated higher, and at its price point there are a lot of better values.
