Planted to all five Bordeaux varietals as well as Syrah, the Erba Mountainside Vineyard team has been blessed with a ‘next to perfect’ setting nestled well above the fog line. The vineyard is a twenty acre parcel consisting of fourteen blocks. Each row receives abundant sunshine through the early morning and mid-day, followed by forgiving Westerly breezes and cooling shade in the afternoon. Take your time to enjoy this, Paul Erba's wines are modestly restrained at first, but, once decanted there's no way to escape the breadth of quality he and Kristof Anderson have managed to get in the bottle. Opulence, power, richness of Cabernet all couple with this exotic thread that radiates from the volcanic soils of Atlas Peak. Undeniably, a REAL wine and something of a must for your cellar.
