What to Expect

Oregon has only recently emerged as a source for premium wine and is winning fans over to their somewhat earthy style of Pinot Noir. With vineyards a bit cooler than most of California's, yet warmer still than Burgundy, Oregon's Pinot Noirs feature a synthesis of ripe fruit, ripe structure and transparency that draws on the strengths of both. The wines tend to have a touch of earthiness and a sense of transparency that many Pinots from California lack yet the fruit profile, full of dark berries, is decidedly warm-climate in nature.

Reviews

This wine was just ok. It was very light and not worth the money.

This wine is quite enjoyable. It is very light and taste like a mix of berries. Definitely an easy wine to drink, not like a traditional pinot noir which is a unique its own way

Rating: 89/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 04/09 This refreshingly delicate wine has a lean rosy scent over bright red cherry fruit, its red plum flavor garnished with the flavors of fines herbes, and the wine has a delightful acidity to lift its mildly herbal finish.

Nice but nothing outstanding. A little light for an Oregon pinot.

Very light bodied Pinot Noir from Oregon. Mouth feel very close to water. Noted some slight hints of red berry and vanilla but the taste where fleeting and there was little to no finish. Definitely better Pinot Noirs in this price range out there.

Black cherry aromas, underscored by sweet mandarin orange, greet the nose as warm, clove-laced vanilla wafts gently among subtle hints of anise and caramel. The wine opens on the palate with more hints of sweet black cherry, which flows seamlessly into a supple silkiness. So versatile with food - fish, fowl, beef, and pasta...the perfect house red! Please note that this wine is sealed with a twist cap closure. Try this with Thai or Chinese pepper sauce, grilled scallops, thin crust pizza margherita, pasta with red sauce, and zesty BBQ.
