What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Winemakers Notes

full bodied with a slight berry flavor incorporate perfectly with the aromas of toast and oak. This is a must taste Syrah.

Reviews

I have had this Syrah before, and I really enjoyed the first time. In the nose, I smell almonds and chocolate covered raisins, with a dash of white pepper. The pepper really carries across into the mid palate while the wine itself offers this lovely mouth feel. As silky smooth and delicious as a river of chocolate flowing over sour cherry stones.

This wine is a grab bag of flavors and aromas, a cocktail of taste sensation! The nose is a wave of buttery toffee followed by a green olive martini component that is interesting and impressive. There are tastes of canned tomatoes and olive tapenade that are surprising and a little out of place. I keep searching for some fruitiness that isn't there, but all in all, this is a fine offering for the price.
