Engelmann Sangiovese(2002)

This the way Sangiovese is sappose to taste. light red with great acid balance and slightly earthy strawberry aromas. Goes well with any pasta.

This wine has great aromas or apples and sweet vinegar - an enticing nose that is light like the color. Flavors of raisins and all-spice dance on the palette, just barely teasing the mid-palette before moving into the dusty spice finish. The wine is a little hot for my liking, but give it time in the bottle or time to breath before serving and you'll find this wine is a nice accompaniment to a salad, light appetizers, and spring and summer nights.
