Endrizzi Gewürztraminer Trentino 2011

Member Review by redpoz:

I'm still making up my mind about this wine.... Has a straw-yellow colour, with perhaps some greenish reflects. Clear and transparent and very consistent. Intense floreal aromas with some honey notes, very nice. At first taste, I found it very acid (almost disturbing), but it got lower after some time open: much better. Slightly said, equilibrated and persistent. I would give it still some time.

The three vineyards, "Masetto", where the winery is located, the historic "Kinderleit" and "Pian di Castello" are the main vineyards of the winery, which cultivates 40 hectars. The calcareous soil of the Dolomites and the excellent climate of the location in the Valle dell'Adige are of fundamental importance. The use of environmentally sound cultivation techniques and innovations in wine-making form the basis of wine and sparkling wine production which carries an unmistakable signature and meets the highest quality specifications. The winery, following more than a century of tradition, has always been faithful to this philosophy. Read less
