Enates top winemaker Jesus Artajona expects nothing but the absolute best having previously achieved great heights with world renowned 1st class growth, Chateau Margaux. As Spains leading winery for quality control, Enate boasts ultra modern facilities in spectacular contemporary premises while maintaining the best of tradition, ensuring low yields and eco-friendly practices. Love, care and attention go into everything they create and thus, the magic of Enate has already won the hearts of 45 countries worldwide since it was founded in 1991. Its high altitude vineyards in Somontano, covering 600 hectres of land, are a perfect microclimate for producing stunning wines from both international and native grape varieties. Vintage: 2009 Grapes: 100% estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Vinification: The grapes were manually harvested and macerated on their skins until the must took on a rosé colour. Once the residue was removed at 8C, the clean must was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at 16C. Serve: Chilled at 8-10C to accompany pasta dishes, poultry and soufflés. Taste: Elegant and fruity with flavours of blackcurrant, gooseberry and strawberry. Full bodied, the balancing acidity gives the wine a lively and supple character.
