What to Expect
Malbec's origins as a blending grape and the core of the sometimes rustic wines of Cahors are quickly becoming forgotten as the grape becomes solidly associated with Argentina. A heat-loving variety of grape, it has always struggled to ripen in France. While still capable of producing a full-bodied rich wine, the tannins in these were formidable. In warmer climates the tannins are able to ripen fully, yielding rich, velvety wines packed with black spice notes and dark berry fruit.

This is a terrific Malbec. The nose is old world veggies and compost - incredibly enticing. There are floral notes and berries dancing on the palette - a great balance. This wines hold up nicely on the mid-palette and finished with flavors of ripe cherries and apple cider. Snag a few bottles of this terrific value. Delightful!

I did not know this Bordeaux varietal to be so earthy! On the nose anyway. . . on your palate this is a very easy drinking wine. This should not be read as cheap or simple. The tannins are smooth and the mouth feel lush. There are blueberries dancing on your mid palate and the finish is just slightly spicy as it lingers like a stolen kiss.
