- Much sharper, tauter, more rapier-like on the nose than the wine above (both of them 9.5% rather than the 12.5% of the Spätlese trocken). Green apples and excitement. Good tension with much in reserve. Excellent purity. Suggests a long life. Very good ripeness. Still a bit of sulphur evident whch might bother some tasters.
