Description: A Palo Cortado brings together the finesse and delicacy of an Amontillado on the bouquet with the richness on the palate of an Oloroso. This rare wine, with its amber gold color, dryness and immensely rich flavor, has light chocolate/coffee flavors yet retains plenty of fruit. When To Drink it: As an aperitif How To Serve it: Serve very lightly chilled. Alcohol: 19% by volume

Palo Cortado, the rarest and most unique sherry style, combines dark, grand Oloroso character with the soft palate feel of fine Amontillado. This stellar bottling from Lustau has a rich and spicy nose with intense, exotic flavors and terrific length.

Very soft and mild. A real golden character - nutty with some soft flor. (Tasted as part of a marathon at the Wines from Spain trade event.)
