Emiliana Orgánico Syrah Adobe 2006
Rafael and José Guilisasti were visionaries in the late 1990s when they saw that the market was beginning to change and that consumers worldwide were becoming more aware of the products they were consuming, not only for health reasons, but also with respect to their social and environmental impact. They therefore asked winemaking consultant Alvaro Espinoza to join them in the process of converting a conventional Chilean winery into one that was 100% organic and biodynamic with the firm objective of creating wines of the highest quality with great respect for nature. Now, after more than a decade, what began as a dream has become a complete portfolio of wines backed by major national and international awards and recognition and that meet the new need of today’s consumers. Novas Winemaker's Selection Syrah Mourvedre presents a profound plumy red color with intense aromas. It's given character given red fruit, berries, floral and mineral notes, that mix with soft spicy touches. On the palate it has a soft entrance with concentration and volume, soft and elegant that harmonizes perfectly with wood tannins. Try this wonderful blend with red meat either grilled or en sauce for fantastic results.

The sniff was overwhelmingly strong coarse, leathery, but when I tasted it was like fireworks in my mouth, the deep yet fruity flavour, strong, well balanced, perfect for my meal. It is the best wine i've had all year. Recommended by the sommelier at Le Local (Montreal).
Yum! My "house" red that is playful enough for popcorn and a movie yet encompasses enough rich complexity to complement a real dinner. A bargain red that won't embarrass you or break your bank. Cheers!
