Rafael and José Guilisasti were visionaries in the late 1990s when they saw that the market was beginning to change and that consumers worldwide were becoming more aware of the products they were consuming, not only for health reasons, but also with respect to their social and environmental impact. They therefore asked winemaking consultant Alvaro Espinoza to join them in the process of converting a conventional Chilean winery into one that was 100% organic and biodynamic with the firm objective of creating wines of the highest quality with great respect for nature. Now, after more than a decade, what began as a dream has become a complete portfolio of wines backed by major national and international awards and recognition and that meet the new need of today’s consumers. This wine shows a gorgeous deep ruby red, with light notes of cherries that combine elegantly with a spicy touch of black pepper which adds pleasing aromatic complexity. On the palate the tannins are firm and acidity bright, resulting in a fresh and juicy wine with a very good finish. A brilliant red to share over dinner, particularly wonderful with beef bourguignonne, moussaka or vegetable terrine.
Earthy. Not as full as others, but complex. It's great to drink an organic wine. I'll definitely drink it again.

Dusty blackberry and dark plum aromas come with spice, particulary pepper. Feels crisp, juicy and tight on the palate, with plum, cherry, red licorice candy and peppery flavors. Dry on the finish, and only slightly herbal overall.
This red is fleshy and focused, featuring a streak of light toasty herb and vanilla notes that hold the core flavors of black cherry and tobacco leaf together. Lively acidity runs throughout. Drink now.
Bright purple. Cherry and boysenberry on the spice-accented nose and palate. Plump and a bit loose-knit but offers plenty of straightforward appeal. Finishes with good cling and a touch of warmth.

Lots of dark juicy plum, blackberry and cherry fruit is layered with sweet toast and hints of tobacco, vanilla and mineral on the finish. Very tasty. Drink now through 2008.
Made from organically grown grapes. Deep ruby. High-pitched, slightly medicinal aromas of red berries and cherry pit are lifted by a note of black pepper. A zesty, tightly wound wine that shows good vivacity to its redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors. Finishes brisk and dry, with good cut and modest length.
Intensely colored red with a full body and chewy mouthfeel. Black fruits, toffee and toasted oak marry well on the palate. A lot of wine for the price range, with more complexity than most. Elegant enough to serve with grilled tuna or vegetable lasagna.
