Emerson Brown Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2007
Intense color with violet and blue hues suggesting freshness and verve. Explosive aromas of deep black cassis, currant, perfume and dark cocoa. Enters the palate full with an intriguing mineral component and remains round and velvety with structured tannin and acid in harmony with a judicial use of attractive French oak. Persistent black fruit and dark cocoa flavors linger on the palate creating a drawn out, mouth-watering finish. Drink upon release or cellar for up to 15 years.
The Emerson Brown partnership began in the summer of 2005. Keith Emerson and Brian Brown met with an equal desire to produce excellent, artisan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon through disciplined winegrowing and winemaking techniques. Their shared philosophy in fine wine production maintains consistency in balance and style, while preserving elegance from vintage to vintage.
In many ways a classic Napa Cab. If you don't like big wines, probably look elsewhere, forgetting about it for a couple of years also could help as well. Impressive Napa Cab, seems like it would be priced at more then $50 if it came with a different label.
