Add winemaker's notes
I liked this Embruix. Dark cherry color with burgundy trim. High layer. Takes to open (not decanted) and when it does, it shows us something of black berries and cherries and aromas mainly phosphorus. Tanica even mouth a little (though perfectly drinkable), with correct acidity. 15.5 degrees is noticeable without being too warm wine. Aftertaste with hints of wild berries, sweet spices and again phosphorus mineral touches and hot stone. Good example of Priorat a sensible price for which unfortunately often have in the area.
Soft scent of cooling bramble-berry pie on someone's window sill; a wonderfully muted and seductive bouquet. Upon entry, just a slight sweetness - like the kiss of a long-lost 16 year old girlfriend. Port-like vinosity. Medium, garnacha finish. Drinking splendidly now! This is a very special bottle for the price, and to be recommended - if you are so fortunate as to find it! Be assured that it won't stray far from my side tonight!
Spicy, peppery, delicious! A bargain at $20.

After a really dry winter came a damp and constant east wind, which lasted from March to mid-July. This east wind was damp and often brought with it abundant rain ... it is years since the rain was this generous in spring and the first months of summer. A complex, aromatic year.

Embruix bedeutet auf Katalanisch Zauberei. Frische, dunkle Beerenfrucht, Zedernholz, feine Tabaknote, Süssholz, Lorbeer. Am Gaumen füllig, viel Schmelz, mit einer schönen Frucht-Säure-Balance sowie einem reifen Tanningerüst. Ein unwiderstehlicher Weinwert.
Winemaker Notes - Sourced primarily from 10 to 15 year-old estate vines, Embruix (pronounced 'Embroosh') de Vall Llach is Catalan for bewitching. True to its name, the wine has an enchanting scarlet color with an amethyst halo. Full of succulent fruit, dark minerals and sweet spices, including nutmeg and fennel, this wine is complex and full-bodied. Meant to consume now or age for 20-25 years.
The nose is heavily perfumed, leaping out of the glass with aromas of ripe dark red and blue fruits, sweet plum, spicebox, cedar, fresh tobacco, graphite, and a hint of cinnamon. Full bodied, the Embruix' is very fruit forward and coats all aspects... Cory Gowan. A Proprietary Blend wine from Priorat in Spain. 2005 Vall-Llach, Celler Embruix 750ml
