Rutherford Petite Sirah is textbook opaque blackish-purple in color with intense aromatics of violets, smoky bacon fat, deep black fruits, tar, crème de cassis and hints of dusty earth and black pepper. This full-bodied wine has rich flavors of dark plums, blueberries and blackberries with a touch of mocha and game. Lush fruit carries the firm, dusty cocoa like tannins on this big wine to a long and pleasing finish.
Pair with strong cheeses, wild game, lamb shank or a nicely peppered strip steak.
