Tasting Notes - From one of the few masters of Moscato. A fantastic little sparkler with aromas of peach, orange blossom and honeysuckle. Delicate, delicious, and perfectly balanced!
Piedmont, ItalyElio Perrone Moscato d'Asti Sourgal is a beautiful expression of the Moscato grape from the appellation of Asti in Piedmont. Because of its delicacy and dependence on perfect balance, great Moscato is hard to make, and only a few producers have mastered the craft. One of these is Stefano Perrone, who has quickly emerged as one of the region's stars. In the words of Antonio Galloni for Wine Advocate, "Stefano Perrone remains a reference-point producer for Moscato." Elio Perrone Moscato d'Asti Sourgal is golden in color and lightly sparkling (frizzante.) This slightly sweet sparkler of 100% Moscato offers a delightful nose of raisins, violets and spice. Medium in body with perfect acidity and balance, it delivers intense flavors of raisins, sultanas and spice. Luscious, long and sweet, it cleanses the palate on the finish.Elio Perrone Moscato d'Asti Sourgal is without peer as a summer sipper. Ambrosial with melon and prosciutto, it is also a superb light dessert wine, perfect with melon, pears or strawberries.
