Food Pairings for Elena Red Blend
This wine really snuck up on me...upon first opening the bottle I found it to be enjoyable but nothing too special. Tasted more of Malbec than anything else to me..even a bit bland for something that contains 3 different grapes. After having a glass though I corked the bottle back up and poured another glass a couple of days later and all I can say is, "WOW!" After breathing for a bit this wine transformed into a delicious blend with pronounced fruit tastes (cherries, I'd say) that just hit that ideal amount of "fruitiness" that I love in a wine. For 8.99 a bottle this stuff is a real bargain...open it up, try a glass, but give it some time to breath and you're in for a real treat.
Very nice and drinkable at a very nice price.
I like it !
