Food Pairings for El Jamon Tempranillo
Not much of a nose here. A fairly subtle wine that develops best with about a 1/2 hour to open up. Before that it was a bit thin. After a steak & salad with balsamic vinegar, I feel I can taste this better. It has a rich minerality, a "slatey" quality, if you will, that mix nicely with the subdued berry flavors.Smooth overall, with no one, single defining characteristic, therefore it comes off balanced and eminently drinkable. A bit tart, kind of stings in the gums a bit. Overall, I would buy it again.
