Being only a crianza, I was a bit worried this wine would have gone bad. But much to my surprise this lovely rioja has really stood the test of time. Twelve years later, its flavor is light, refreshingly fruity, and still has good tannins and structure. The only thing it has lost is some color. But it is a lovely bricky-orangy hue. El Coto is pretty much served in most restaurants in Spain, and no wonder.
