2005 12.5% ABV Red blend 750mL $7.99 Dark garnet to dried blood red. Aromas of smoke, leather, chalk and metal with a slight hot note. Intense berries, wood and earth with a metallic finish. Sweeter mouthfeel than expected and slightly acidic.

Pretty good wine for the price. Much better than most of the table wines from France sold in the U.S.

Undrinkable crap. Bought it on a flyer at a Russian maret, and even for $7.99 I'm bitter about buying it. I wanted to clean the disposal I poured it down, if that gives you any idea.

Produced in accordance with centuries-old tradition, Egri Bikavér is still a blend of noble and indigenous varietals, aged up to two years in oak barrels in volcanic stone cellars. The fierceness, however, has been tempered, so today's wine is a delicious, dry red wine, as elegant as it is robust. It is a perfect accompaniment to bold foods - game, roasts, steaks and all types of red meat dishes. - Winery

There's nothing to fear in this bottle of Bull's Blood. Its rustic, sturdy character makes it perfect with anything grilled or (even better) spit-roasted.
