Edna Valley Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc Paragon 2012

Member Review by Kristian:

Light & airy with citris notes, easy drinking on its own or with pasta, fish, or thai food. Crisp & medium body without any syupy or buttery flavors. Great overall

Its location in one of the state's few east/west-oriented valleys allows nighttime coastal fog to move inland, cooling the grapes after a long day in the sunlight, so that they slowly mature while retaining sufficient acidity. The vineyard's unique site consists of layers of clay and volcanic rock over ancient ocean subsoil. The wine is well balanced with citrus and tropical fruit flavors, showing undertones of wet stone and fresh cut grass. Lively acidity makes the wine crisp and ands length and minerality to the finish.
