Its location in one of the state's few east/west-oriented valleys allows nighttime coastal fog to move inland, cooling the grapes after a long day in the sunlight, so that they slowly mature while retaining sufficient acidity. The vineyard's unique site consists of layers of clay and volcanic rock over ancient ocean subsoil. We are a partnership between Paragon Vineyard Company, which is owned by the Niven family, and Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines. "Edna Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2008 is a refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies

Orange blossom, grapefruit and pineapple are touched by a hint of wet stone in our 2008 Sauvignon Blanc. The flavors continue through the middle, holding good volume and sprightly acidity. The finish is clean, leaving distinct mineral, lime and tropical fruit lingering on the back palate.
