Serious as well as endowed is the 2001 Syrah Peay Vineyard. A dense ruby/purple color is followed by a gorgeous bouquet of blackberries, tar, chocolate, and flowers. This opulent, full-bodied Syrah reveals an exuberant, lush texture with no hard edges. Deep, pure, and silky-textured, it can be drunk now or aged for a decade. -Wine Advocate
