Edi Simcic Chardonnay, if you can find a fine restaurent Sommelier to order it for you, will not be a disappointment. It's a very complex blend of fruity (peaches & cream) after tastes but still has that Cakebread vineyards full-bodied oak buttery taste - absolutely wonderful. Produced in Slovenia. Good luck finding it.
One of my favorite white wines. Phenomenal serious experience. A must try!!
My favorite from Edi, so interesting, and deep, you have to think about it afterwords... love this label

External Reviews for Edi Simcic Rebula Goriška Brda Rubikon
Viticulture in Goriska Brda, Slovenia is almost a physical extension of Friuli, Italy. This is an oaked Chardonnay that comes from mineral-driven soils and a cool climate. The fruit is mildly evolved, rich in honey, dried yellow fruits and earthy minerals. The influence of new oak is apparent but balanced.
